Louise
has a spirit of fun and sharing, which makes her a favorite among
concert audiences and workshop participants. She has given pop
workshops all over the U.S., in Canada, and the Clarsach Society
of London and Edinburgh. Her down home sense of humor and
laid back style make her concerts a hit, with her wide repertoire
of audience pleasers.
Ms.
Trotter has prepared fun and informative workshop materials for
both the pedal harp and the lever harp, depending on the needs
and desires of your group.
Harpists
of all ages and levels will benefit from her eclectic style

Versatile
harpists of today need a wide range of repertoire to create the
most opportunities to perform! It is rewarding to be able to
arrange or adapt one's own music for any occasion, whether
pop, folk or religious in nature.
It
is preferable for each attendee to have a harp at hand, but
if not, we can take turns on those available. Pedal and folk
harps are all welcome. Material covered will start with beginners
and become more advanced as the session goes on. It is not
necessary to prepare anything to perform.

A public
building such as church or school works well as a classroom,
but a large home can be successful too!
Louise
uses both hands-on and lecture techniques during her workshops,
and everyone from beginners to advanced goes home with practical
new knowledge, and most importantly has fun in the process. Your
workshop can be an all day session from 9:30 to 4:00, or several
3 hour sessions. Printed work notes will be handed out for use in
class. You are welcome to bring an audio or video recorder.
Tuition
fee is $50 per person for the full day. Other financial
arrangements may be worked out with the individual organization
sponsoring the event. A concert by Louise adds interest (and
extra revenue) to your weekend, and can be combined with local
performers to attract a wider attendance.
